The information you presented made a fundamental change in my understanding of the reasons to use visuals and how to implement these strategies. I always thought they were more complicated than they are.

Thank you, Linda for the breakthrough with my son.

As a parent, I was able to use the practical tips Linda recommended for teaching my son. One good application was the use of a "Routine."   He loves it and got excited referring to it each time. He began to ask questions about 'surprise' items on the board. Indeed, these visual strategies helped me to know him better. Thank you, Linda for the breakthrough with my son.

Your training materials will give the speech therapy students so much confidence

I am a clinical tutor at a university in New Zealand . Over here we think very highly of your work in visual strategies. We have your text-book. I have just purchased your video programme - for the purpose of showing it to some speech therapy students before they go on roster with ministry of education therapists who often set up visual strategies for clients. Your training materials will give the speech therapy students so much confidence before they go out to get experience with therapists all over
New Zealand .

When I showed Luke a picture for what the teachers wanted him to do next, his compliance shot up!

When Luke had trouble transitioning in the classroom and would physically put on the prakes when the teacher or assistant tried to lead him over for circle time or to the bathroom to wash his hands. I saw what was happening. When I showed Luke a picture for what the teachers wanted him to do next, his compliance shot up! I even shared with his mother how she could successsfully wipe Luke's nose and even get him to blow for her if she just showed him the tissue first as she told him she was going to wipe h is nose, rather than try to sne3ak it in before he saw what was coming. Luke is a champion nose blower now.
